1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using LearnHoop, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the platform.
If you use LearnHoop on behalf of a minor, you confirm you are the parent/guardian or otherwise authorized to consent.
2. Platform Role
LearnHoop is a marketplace that connects students and families with independent tutors.
LearnHoop is not a school, educational institution, or employer of tutors.
Tutors are responsible for their own services, content, and professional conduct.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
You must provide accurate account information and keep it updated.
You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and all account activity.
We may suspend or terminate accounts for fraud, abuse, policy violations, or legal reasons.
4. Bookings, Payments, and Fees
Session pricing and applicable fees are shown before confirmation.
Payments are processed through third-party payment providers integrated with LearnHoop.
Refund and cancellation outcomes are governed by our Refund & Cancellation terms and may depend on timing, session status, and policy compliance.
5. Acceptable Use
You must not harass, threaten, impersonate, defraud, scrape, or otherwise misuse the platform.
You must not attempt to bypass security controls or interfere with platform operations.
Illegal, abusive, or harmful behavior may result in immediate account action.
6. Tutor and Student Responsibilities
Tutors are responsible for service quality, scheduling accuracy, and lawful conduct.
Students/parents are responsible for timely attendance, accurate booking details, and respectful conduct.
LearnHoop does not guarantee educational outcomes, including grades, admissions, or test scores.
7. Intellectual Property
The LearnHoop platform, branding, and software are owned by LearnHoop or its licensors.
You may not copy, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works except as permitted by law.
8. Disclaimers
The platform is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis to the maximum extent permitted by law.
We do not warrant uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or specific educational outcomes.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LearnHoop is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum amount permitted by applicable law.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LearnHoop from claims, liabilities, and expenses arising from your misuse of the platform or violation of these terms.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access at any time for safety, legal, or policy reasons.
You may stop using the platform at any time.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in Ontario, Canada, subject to mandatory local consumer protections.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted with a revised effective date.
Continued use of LearnHoop after updates means you accept the revised terms.
